PAMELA J. FIRLE, MA, LPC has more than twenty-five
years experience in promoting the emotional and mental well-being
of others. Her life’s work has combined compassion with a strong
belief in the resiliency of the human spirit and the capacity of
people to create change in their lives. As a Licensed Professional
Counselor, she shares this experience with adults, couples,
adolescents and families.
EDUCATION
Pamela holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota; a Master of Arts in
Human Services from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas; and a Texas license as a Professional
Counselor (TX 18516). Licensure as an LPC requires a Masters degree plus 3,000 post-graduate hours, state
examination and annual continuing education.
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Pamela’s background has provided her with diverse opportunities to enhance her expertise. Her career has
included grief counseling, support groups, crisis counseling, employee assistance counseling, inpatient
therapy and private practice psychotherapy.
She has experience with a variety of therapeutic issues including depression and other mood disorders,
anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, physical and emotional abuse, eating disorders, parenting, marriage
and intimate relationships, divorce, blended families, life transitions, addictions and grief.
As an educator for business, professional and community organizations, she has presented wellness seminars
on Grief in the Workplace, Stress Management, Effective Communication, Work-Life Balance and Parenting
Skills.
PERSONAL
Pamela has lived in Dripping Springs with her family since 1996. She has been married for 29 years and has 3
adult children, two of whom graduated from D.S. High School. She treasures the opportunity to live and work
in the Texas hill country and to serve her community.
She is a member of the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce, Dripping Springs United Methodist Church
and a board member for Young Life Dripping Springs.
