Bio Pamela Firle is a psychotherapist and wellness educator who challenges and empowers people to live mindful, intentional lives. Her 17 years of work in death and dying instilled a deep appreciation for the tentative nature of life and a passion for living well. During these years she intently studied the process of grieving and came to understand how inseparable the mind, body and spirit are in the healing process. It is important to learn to listen to the body as part of emotional healing; just as it is critical to address the thoughts and feelings that impact physical health. This understanding provides the foundation for her work as a therapist and educator. Pam's more than 30 years of wellness work includes the following:
Pam has lived in Dripping Springs with her family since 1996. She has been married for 33 years and has 3 adult children, two of whom graduated from D.S. High School. She treasures the opportunity to live and work in the Texas hill country and to serve her community, near and far. She is a member of the Dripping Springs United Methodist Church, Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce, served as a Chamber Ambassador, and was a founding member of the Dripping Springs W.I.S.E. Community Health Initiative. She enjoys maintaining balance in her life through time in nature, music, dance, yoga, reading and fun with her family.
Education Pam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota; a Master of Arts in Human Services from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas; and a Texas license as a Professional Counselor (TX 18516). Licensure as an LPC requires a Masters degree plus 3,000 post-graduate hours, state examination and annual continuing education.
